Pumpkin Bread

As soon as there is a a tiny hint of fall in the air it is my tradition to make pumpkin bread. I can't begin to tell you how much of this I have consumed in my lifetime. And I'm pretty sure that this and Oreo's are all my brother ate from 1992-1999. Kids love the stuff. Make some this weekend and take it to a neighbor (or my brother).

1 cup vegetable oil
3 cups sugar
4 eggs
3 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons nutmeg
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup water
14-16 oz can of pumpkin

Mix oil, sugar, and eggs together, then flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and baking soda. Next pour in water. And last but not least pumpkin!

It makes 2 loaves.

So, pour into 2 greased loaf pans and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 minutes....until you can stick a knife in it and have it come out clean.

Hi, Sarah. I stumbled upon your blog from another blog, and tried out your pumpkin bread recipe... delicious! I also used your chicken parmesan recipe which was really good, too. (I've gotten to the point where most of my cooking is based off of blog recipes!) I am new to the blog world, and just thought I'd say hello. Love your blog!
