A Cause for Celebration

Sunday, September 27, 2009 we baptized our sweet, wonderful, precious son.
It was truly a day of celebration as Stephen Grande and I vowed to unreservedly dedicate our child to God and bring him up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
I honestly can not imagine having a child and not knowing a loving God. I am grateful from the bottom of my heart to know that the good Lord loves and cares for my baby and will give us the grace to raise him in a Christian home. I am also grateful for our parents, their faith, and the God fearing homes we were raised in.
Another special part of the day was that both mine and Stephen's fathers participated in the baptism ceremony. Grande's father is a pastor and did the actual baptizing. And my dad has been an elder in the PCA church for a number of years and was able to stand by our side.

It truly was a beautiful ceremony and little Stephen found it completely exhausting.
After worship we had a beautiful lunch that my mom put together to celebrate our covenant child. We used some of the zinnias (I blogged about earlier this month) for the table arrangement.
My mom also brought this beautiful cake. It tasted just as good as it looks!
I wish I had more pictures of us at lunch. It was one of those occasions where I chose to live it instead of photograph it.

All in all, it was a great day. A cause for celebration. We praise God for his faithfulness to us as a family and look forward to the day that Stephen small will profess his personal faith in Jesus Christ.

GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME, ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD.

But the lovingkindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children's children.
Ps. 103:17
