Good Wednesday afternoon! Hope this post finds you well.
I took S. Small to his 15 month check up this morning. He checked out quite nicely in the 20th percentile for weight and 40th for height.
Afterwards, I treated us to Chick-fil-a for lunch - a little tradition I've begun. If you go to the doctor, you get to go out for lunch - and that includes me, when I go to the doctor. I actually began this tradition when I was pregnant with S.S. I'd go out to lunch after seeing my O.B. Sometimes I even sat down (alone) in the restaurant, usually because I was too hungry to make the drive home.
Dr. T (our pediatrician) inquired as to how much S is talking. "He only says 2 words," I informed him. Common for little boys was his response.
And a little boy he IS.
This picture shows you what I've been battling. CLIMBING. He moved the chair to reach the front door lock. Oh MY! What's a mama to do?
A few spankings have been dished out when I've found him standing straight up (all 30 and 3/4 inches of him) on the dining room table.
I love him, but he's crazy. And I have a lot of work ahead of me.
Better go. I need to make sure he's not on the roof.

GA is a climber, too. Yesterday, I found her sitting on the TOP of the boys' bunk beds. She was proud; I nearly fainted. :)
Imagine what she & SS could get into together!!
Can't wait to see ya'll soon!
Hey Sarah! I follow your blog, but am not a commenter myself. However, as the mother of two boys- one who was famous for letting himself outside, I had to tell you about my trick. I found a double sided lock at Home Depot, so I can lock the door and put the key away. I am not one for enabling and of course pop that hiney if they don't obey, but sometimes a Mama has to take a shower without worrying her little guys might roam the neighborhood! Hope you are well, your little man is precious.
Thanks for the congrats! We too have a double sided lock. Bubba loves fiddling with things....it drives me kind of crazy;) Sounds like SS is moving right along in his little boy development! We share the "out to lunch" treat for Dr's visits as well, usually, chik-fil-a or Chappys;)
What a guy!! I love his resourcefulness!

He would LOVE to be on the roof, he is a boy! My sweet neighbor came over to inform me that my boy was on the roof of my house one day..she was mortified...this was before she had boys of her own..now she understands. Look at his little face..so sweet!
You need to put some pants on that boy before he climbs on the roof..
So adorable! Love the tradition of going out to lunch, might have to start that one myself. He is getting so stinking big and cute!!!
