Project : Children's First Aid Kit

I have mentioned before that I'm on a major clean-up, clean-out, organize the house rampage. Well today, I was working on our bathroom...getting all the meds, band aids, and general first aid supplies together and putting them all in one place.
I actually meant to do this before our trip to NOLA, but it just didn't happen. So in order to be prepared for our future travels, I put together a children's first aid kit. With all the sickness going around and holiday traveling, I thought it would be a good idea. You never know when your child is going to wake up in the middle of the night with a 103 degree fever, scrape their knee, have a sudden onset of a runny nose, develop a food allergy, breakout in hives, or start cutting a tooth! Nobody wants to wake up at 2 am in a foreign city and have to go out to buy children's Tylenol.
Here is the list of what's in Stephen Small's first aid kit:

children's Tylenol
children's Motrin
children's Benadryl (don't have any, but I plan to buy some ASAP.)
scissors
band aids
alcohol swabs
gauze
Neosporin
thermometer
Saline nose drops
bulb suction syringe

*prescription medications (if applicable)

I also threw in a copy of our pediatrician's office # and Stephen Small's medical record # (just in case).

I think he's glad to be prepared. I know I am.

And this picture here is just to prove that he smiles.

He's happiest when he's on the go.

P.S. I also think something like this would make a fun and practical baby gift.

P.S.S. An adult first aid kit is a good thing to have around too. Maybe I'll work on that tomorrow!

Happy organizing!

I love the word "rampage" rather than "mood, phase, tangent," etc. LOL! I think that would describe a lot of my "phases" around here, too.

With the man you happen to be married to, I'm surprised the adult first aid kit didn't enter your mind first. :)
although, i gotta' hand it to him, he's prepared enough that he's probably got one in his truck already.
