Mini Morsels and Music

Thanks to some inspiration from a friend and 3 over ripe bananas sitting in my fruit bowl, this was created in the Spooner kitchen this week...

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

I tweaked my friend's and my mom's recipe and came up with this...

2 sticks of butter , softened
l cup sugar
2 eggs
3 very ripe bananas, mashed
2 cups flour
l teaspoon baking powder
l/2 teaspoon baking soda
l/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate mini morsels

Cream butter, add sugar. Add eggs - one at a time, Stir in bananas. Combine flour and next 3 ingredients, add to creamed mixture. Stir in mini morsels.

Pour into 2 greased loaf pans and bake at 350 for 50 minutes to 1 hour. Remove and let cool.

Such a treat.

And while you are making banana bread you can listen to Pandora.

What is Pandora?

It is a website where you can build your own radio station by typing in an artist, song, genre, whatever you want. The station is then configured based on your requests. It is free and so much easier than fooling with i tunes. You do have to create an account though. Also, you can thumbs up and thumbs down a song to avoid the music you don't like. We've used this all summer. And you better believe I've built a Dolly Parton station that I'm listening to right this very second.

Hope all you friends and bloggers have a wonderful weekend.

One more thing...
Stephen wanted me to tell you that he will be posting the recipe for his hand next week. As much as it's in his mouth, it must be pretty tasty.

What good tweaks to the recipe! I'll have to try them out. Baking powder does make all bready things better.
Baby Stephen makes me want to squeeze him.
