Summer Reading

Just thought I'd give you a look at what I'm planning to read this summer. There is no guarantee I'll make it through all these books as I am a very slow reader, but I do have high hopes.

I finished Real Love for Real Life a couple of weeks ago and I LOVED it. I came across it on a friend's blog and the topic intrigued me. It is about care giving, not the nursing home kind of care giving, but care for all those around you throughout the different seasons of life. I highly recommend it to any person who has responsibilities of caring for others, which is basically everybody. It is beautifully written. I found it so inspiring and encouraging.

Here's a little peak inside.

What is on your reading list this summer? Have you read any of the books pictured in the top photo? If so what did you think?

Love the photo of SS on top (with the watermelons). I'm back from China and anxious to get back into your blog.

I love the Read-Aloud Handbook. I still refer back to it. I made notes in mine of what we liked and didn't. It put books in our path that I would never have none about. Great one to have.

I've read Prodigal God and Bringing Up Boys... liked them both. You've got me wanting to read Real Love for Real Life!

SB, you inspire me to read more books that might actually be beneficial to me somehow. For now, I am hooked on Harlan Coben mysteries and other mindless entertainment. Feel free to judge me!

I have read Mission of MOtherhood- it was so fabulous and helped me get past my bad attitude towards the monotony of my role of housekeeper!

And I just finished Dobson's Bringing Up Girls. I KNOW Bringing up Boys will be GREAT!!!
