Row row row your boat gently down the stream, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a.....nightmare.
When I was in nursing school, I had to do clinicals at a nursing home in Auburn. Once a day the residents would gather in the rec room and do exercises and singing. I was assigned to a beautiful elderly lady who had Alzheimer's. She shocked us all when she changed the lyrics to Row, Row, Row your boat....inserting the word nightmare for dream. I think she was right on target. If you're making me sing this song at "P.E." in my nineties life will be but a nightmare.
Speaking of nightmares....last night, I had three.
1. I missed my Dr's appointment which is at 9:20 this morning.
2. I had a horrific vesicular rash on my right arm. I get chills all on my forehead just thinking about it.
3. Stephen and I were playing the game Taboo. I had to make him guess the word Boppy. I was giving clues like "you can wear it on your head" "it has colored polka dots on it." He finally guessed it, but a the very last second. We high fived. (This was the least nightmarish of my 3 dreams, but it still produced a lot of anxiety.)
Lets just say, I was glad to wake up....and drink some COFFEE!

SB I love your blog. you are so funny. you have inspired my next blog post :)
PS I mornings are my favorite.. i LOVE coffee and reading a few pages in my book or doing the monthly budget (or blogging) while the girls take a morning nap. just something about delicious coffee in these moments... I have always said that good coffee in the morning is like a hug from God.
Oh the anxiety of Taboo.....
Also, PE in the nursing home sounds cruel...It would also be my nightmare. I love your love for coffee....I wish I enjoyed it because it has such a great atmosphere!
Also, you're such a good writer. Thank you for your faithful blogging!
You are so preoccupied with your boppy! Have to say the Taboo dream seems the most unlikely...
